Dogwood Hoops

My love affair with dogwoods began several years ago when I saw one in person for the first time. The delicate pink color and the way the petals fold captivated me. Now, I am lucky enough to have a dogwood tree right outside my studio window and get to watch it bloom in the spring. 

THe hoops were hammered to represent the texture of tree bark and each flower was handcrafted. To capture the asymmetry of nature, the flowers are randomly placed on each hoop so when they are worn they capture the look of flowers sprinkled across a tree. 

These hoop earrings are post style and are sterling silver.
